FROM her office in the Hendon Co-op Buildings in Mowbray Road, Lynn Summerside, runs Sit ‘n’ ‘b’ Fit Community Interest Company, which offers therapeutic exercise for older and disabled people. 

Jonathan’s donation of £15,000 will allow her to take on an admin assistant, giving her more time to co-ordinate the classes which take place around the city. 

Lynn, who is a breast cancer survivor, launched Sit ‘n’ ‘b’ Fit CIC in 2005, with funding from development agency Back on the Map. 

Her workers aim to target people before problems set in and to maintain and sustain independent living. 

Passionate about her work, she has seen clients progress from chair-based exercise to throwing away their walking sticks and tackling dance routines. 

“This donation is just going to make a massive difference. When Jonny told me I looked at him and said, you’re a really good actor. “I was blown away and just started crying.”
